‘Salalah Beach’ will be home to a 36-hole PGA Golf Course that would include all golfing facilities. A golf hotel and a golf club would complement the course that would also incorporate restaurants, bars and extensive terraces where people can enjoy a drink or meal while taking in the action on the golf course. The course will be surrounded with tastefully designed villas; the residents of which will be just a walk away from their favourite game.

Adhering to a least-disturbance approach, Muriya focuses on every opportunity to incorporate unique existing site features into the layout of the golf course whilst maintaining world class standards.

As part of Muriya’s eco-friendly approach to construction and maintenance of the golf course, the latest variety of turf grass paspalum called Platnium TE will be planted. Originally found in coastal regions, Paspalum (also known as Seashore Paspalum) is a highly salt tolerant plant that can be irrigated with ‘brackish’ water. This is high in saline content and would not be fit for other uses without an expensive, energy consuming treatment.
